Welcome to GOFAR. By creating an account or using the GOFAR app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1 About GOFAR
GOFAR is a mobile application operated by AMT – Adelaide Motors and Tyres (ABN to be confirmed), located at 207–215 South Terrace, Wingfield, SA, Australia.
The app provides workshop booking, vehicle management, real-time service tracking, AI-powered vehicle diagnostics, driving performance monitoring, speed camera alerts, parking location saving, and membership subscription services.
2 Account Registration
To use GOFAR, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete registration information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3 Services Provided
GOFAR offers the following services through the app:
- Workshop Bookings — Schedule service appointments, tow truck requests, and loan car requests with AMT
- Vehicle Management — Register and manage your vehicles, including service history and digital logbook
- Service Tracking — Real-time updates on repair progress with photo evidence
- AI Car Doctor — AI-powered vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting assistance
- Quote Approvals — Review and approve service quotes directly in the app
- Daily Car Tips — Personalised vehicle care tips and fuel price information
- Notifications — Service reminders, booking updates, and important alerts
4 GOFAR Pro Subscription
GOFAR Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features:
- Speed Cameras — Live SA Police mobile camera locations, fixed camera database, and red light camera alerts across Adelaide
- Find My Car (Parking) — Save your parking location with GPS coordinates, photos, and notes
- My Driving — Trip tracking, driving score, and fuel-efficiency feedback using phone sensors
- Priority booking slots
- 10% discount on all services
- Free vehicle health checks
- Dedicated support line
Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store (via RevenueCat). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Refunds: All subscription payments are processed through Apple. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly through their standard refund process.
5 Your Data & Account Management
GOFAR provides you with full control over your data. The app includes two separate data management options in Profile:
Clear Local Cache (found in the "Device" section):
- Only clears cached data stored locally on your device
- Does NOT affect your account or any data on our servers
- Your account remains active and you stay signed in
- Useful if you want to free up device storage or reset local preferences
Delete Account (found in its own dedicated red section in Profile):
- Permanently and irreversibly deletes your account from our servers
- Deletes ALL associated data: personal information, vehicles, bookings, service history, and notifications
- You will be immediately signed out of the app
- This action cannot be undone and the account cannot be recovered
- Two confirmation dialogs are shown before deletion proceeds
How to find it: Profile tab (bottom right) → scroll down → "Delete Account" section (red card with trash icon).

6 AI Car Doctor Disclaimer
The AI Car Doctor feature provides general vehicle troubleshooting guidance based on artificial intelligence. It is intended for informational purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional mechanical diagnosis.
- AI responses are generated by machine learning models and may not always be accurate
- Always consult a qualified mechanic for safety-critical vehicle issues
- AMT is not liable for any actions taken based on AI diagnostic suggestions
- The AI uses publicly available vehicle data and your service history to provide context-aware responses
7 Speed Camera Information Disclaimer
Speed camera data provided in GOFAR Pro is sourced from publicly available SA Police announcements and known fixed camera locations. This information is provided as a driver awareness tool.
- Camera locations may not always be current or complete
- The app is not a substitute for obeying speed limits and road rules
- AMT is not responsible for any fines or penalties you may receive
- Always drive safely and within the speed limit regardless of camera locations
8 Acceptable Use
When using GOFAR, you agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app's systems or other users' accounts
- Provide false or misleading information
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality
- Use the app while driving (except passive features like speed camera alerts)
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
9 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:
- GOFAR and AMT provide the app "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for GOFAR Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
10 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For significant changes, we will notify users via the app or email.
11 Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
